How do I get there?

Carpark location

Approach from St.Peter Port – Traveling west along the main south coast road, go past Torteval Stores and onto the Route De Pleinmont.   Shortly after the road starts to descend take a left turn at the top of a rise before pine trees  (easy to miss – the sign is a granite block on the right-hand side of the road) .  This follows a series of sharp, narrow corners. Head left at the T-Junction up a track to the Mont Herault watchhouse (incorrectly called the Haunted House by many).   The fields above the climbing areas are used for clay pigeon shooting, so you will not be able to climb here when shooting is taking place. To get to the climbs walk down the lower of the two strip fields next to the shooting field and out the bottom end onto the clifftop. The ridge leading down to the main area is on your left (east).

Approach from Rocquaine – go up the main hill next to the Imperial hotel. At the top there are Monterey pine trees on your left, just after these turn right down a lane (granite signpost on lefthand side of road) This follows a series of sharp, narrow corners. Head left at the T-Junction up a track to the Mont Herault watchhouse (incorrectly called the Haunted House by many).   The fields above the climbing areas are used for clay pigeon shooting, so you will not be able to climb here when shooting is taking place.
